Wynford boys finish 5th at Lucas Posted on September 12, 2018 0 LUCAS — Wynford’s boys took fifth place Tuesday in the Cub Classic cross country invitational at Lucas. The Royals scored 113 points, finishing just behind Northern 10 Athletic Conference foes Bucyrus (105 points) and Buckeye Central (110). Northmor topped East Knox, 35-89, for the title. Noah Smith led the Royals by placing eighth in 19:37.86, with Ryan Stevely four spots behind in 20:04.83. Ty Flohr took 27th place in 21:50.11, Ryan Ruth took 38th place in 22:30.96, and Caden Pollock was 39th in 22:33.73. Lucas’ Gavin Shindeldecker was the winner in 18:25.35. Only two schools had enough runners to score as a team in the girls competition, with Buckeye Central edging Bucyrus, 24-31, for first place. Allison Lust paced the Royals with a fourth-place finish in 24:25.32, with Atlee Miller taking 11th place in 26:04.90. Tricia Zender finished 13th in 26:07.80, and Katie Tuck came in 26th in 30:21.98. In junior high competition, the Royals’ Morgan Lambert was third in 14:30.47 in the girls race, while Wesley Stinehelfer was 25th in 16:41.64 in the boys race.
