Riverdale girls dominate Hardin County meet, boys 2nd

McGUFFEY – Riverdale’s girls track and field team dominated the competition, while the boys took second place Tuesday in the Hardin County Meet on Tuesday at Upper Scioto Valley.

The Falcons girls scored 230 points, winning all but three events while double-placing in every individual event. Kenton was girls runner-up with 141 points.

Kendel Rall won three individual events, taking first in the 100 hurdles in 16.99 seconds, the 300 hurdles in 48.81 and the long jump at 16-8.25.

Allison Woodruff was first in the 1600 run in 5:14.06 and the 3200 run in 11:28.83, while Marissa Bonham won the 200 dash in 26.63 and the 400 dash in 59.91.

Kinsey Shull was the discus champion at 95-9.5 and was second in the shot put at 32-4.5. Katie Boucher took first in the shot put at 33-1 and was runner-up in the discus, throwing 88-5.

Shae Berger was champion in the high jump at 4-10, and Ella Roach won the 100 dash in 13.03 and was second in the 200 dash in 27.34.

The Falcons won the 400 relay (55.25), the 800 relay (1:54.13) and the 3200 relay (10:02.48). They were second in the 1600 relay in 4:09.63.

Annalese Woodruff came in second in the 800 run in 2:32.05.

Kenton edged Riverdale for the boys championship 143-127.

Andrew Woodruff had a pair of wins for Riverdale’s boys, topping the field in the 1600 run in 4:51.27 and in the 3200 run in 11:02.15.

The Falcons won the 3200 relay in 8:47.02 and the 800 relay in 1:36.40. They were second in the 1600 relay in 3:40.72.

Luke Donaldson was runner-up in the 400 dash in 53.94, and Zach Tackett topped 11-6 to take second in the pole vault.
Riverdale hosts Kenton, Arlington and Vanlue in a quad-meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
