SYCAMORE — The Sycamore parks committee will meet at 6 p.m. today in council chambers to discuss summer pool operations. The meeting will be followed by a regular meeting of Sycamore Village Council at 7 p.m.

The Upper Sandusky Service Committee will meet in special session at 8:15 a.m. Monday to discuss a personnel matter. The property maintenance committee will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The employees of Walmart store No. 3809 met for their daily morning meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, but instead of preparing for the future happenings of the day, they gathered to celebrate the past.

Upper Sandusky High School’s marketing education and DECA program recently hosted its awards presentation and employer appreciation banquet at the Elks Lodge to honor its 2015-16 marketing work experience program employers.

The Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce is soliciting donations for the annual Fourth of July fireworks display in the city. Upper Sandusky’s 2016 fireworks display is slated for July 2 at Upper Sandusky High School, with a rain date of July 3.
