Drug-free training event to be held at Elks Lodge

The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot counties is working in partnership with the Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce to host a drug-free workplace training event. The Workforce Solutions Workshop is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19 at the Elks Lodge No. 83, 320 E. Wyandot Ave., and is free to attend.

Carey women’s luncheon upcoming

The Carey Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 2016 Professional Women’s Luncheon, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27. The topic for the luncheon will be “humor in the workplace,” with speaker Nancy Proctor of Blanchard Valley Health System.

Career expo set for Wed.

The Wyandot County Department of Job and Family Services will host its 16th annual career expo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Representatives from several employers will be at the event looking to add new talent to their workforce.

Mohawk BOE to have special mtg.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Local school board will meet in special session at 7 p.m. Monday at the Mohawk Community Center to discuss security measures. The meeting will take place in executive session and no action will be taken, according to a press release from the school district.
