Wyandot County will save nearly $60,000 on its electric bill over the next three years after the county commissioners signed a new facilities electric agreement Thursday. Working through Palmer Energy Company, it was recommended the county sign with the electric supplier Dynegy Energy through May of 2021 at a rate of $0.0471 per kWh, with an estimated annual cost savings of $19,970 compared to the county’s current rate, which expires at the end of April.

Carter is one of four Hardin County track and field athletes who were selected to represent Ohio and compete on the USA track and field team in the 30th annual Gold Coast Commonwealth Games held in Queensland, Australia, in July.
Upper Sandusky welcomed two new city councilmen Tuesday. John Walker and Aaron Korte were elected to council in November and were sworn in at the organizational meeting Tuesday afternoon.
CAREY — At the beginning of Tuesday’s Carey Village Council meeting, new member Dario Troiano and members Chase Fletcher, Anthony Fletcher and Bob Styer Jr. were sworn into their seats on council. Anthony Fletcher was also elected council president.
