The public is invited to an open house from 12-4 p.m. Saturday at the new Wyandot County EMS facility at the corner of North Warpole and Guthrie Streets in Upper Sandusky. A special flag raising ceremony will take place at noon.
On Thursday, the Ohio Department of Transportation held its annual county-by-county readiness inspection.
A Wyandot County landmark barn on the Dick and Phyllis Gerber farm east of Upper Sandusky on CH 182 will soon be disappearing. The barn was built in the late 1800s and has to be torn down because of a deteriorating foundation and groundhog damage.

On Wednesday at Carey High School, Smith, surrounded by family members and coaches, signed a national letter of intent to play softball at Division II Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma.

Construction began Monday in front of the Wyandot County Courthouse. “We’ve been wanting to fix the crumbling curbs for a while now,” Wyandot County Commissioner Bill Clinger said. “We decided to get a two for one and replace the sidewalk near the front entrance as well.”
