Area youth selected to perform with honors band at Rose Parade SYCAMORE — A local high school student has been selected as a member of the Bands of America Honor Band and will march in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, after the first of the year. Blake Depinet, 15, who will be a sophomore at New Riegel High School next year, and his classmates were encouraged by their band teacher to apply for the All-American band through Music for All, a nonprofit organization that promotes life-changing experiences through music.
