City offers swimming lessons again

Time for a dip featured

The city of Upper Sandusky is gearing up for another summer of swim lessons, with morning classes offered for different age groups in June and July. The swimming lessons are offered through support of local organizations and volunteers, as well as through financial support from the city of Upper Sandusky.

Jon “Big Nut” Peters (right), of Fremont, recently donated a buckeye tree for Stepping Stones Park on behalf of himself and his wife. Peters said in a May 25 Facebook post that he gave the tree so “the people of Upper Sandusky (can) enjoy the beauty of a buckeye tree.”

Horse show raises money for CASA

Spectators and participants filled the bleachers at the outdoor horse arena at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds on Saturday for the 2016 Gymkhana Horse Show. The event was an official International Barrel Racing Association sanctioned event, but the points at stake for the IBRA were not the focus of the day.

A musical farewell

Members of the Riverdale High School graduating class of 2016 sing the alma mater, “The Blue and White,” to close the ceremony Sunday in the RHS gymnasium. The 71 graduates were the first class to complete their entire education at the K-12 building.
