City officials recognized three Upper Sandusky High School student-athletes for their accomplishments during the winter sports season Monday during a regular meeting of city council. Mayor Scott Washburn presented certificates to USHS students Betsy Young, Thurston Dyer and Noah Clary before each shook the hands of all council members in attendance.

High winds could not stop area residents from giving back through a Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church partnership with Help Build Hope, a ministry of Cross Roads Missions in Louisville, Kentucky, to frame two houses to be used for Habitat for Humanity families on Saturday morning.
