Recovery stories highlighted at walk

TIFFIN — Less than a year after the start of a peer group for people recovering from addiction, the first Walk for Recovery took place Saturday at Tiffin’s Hedges-Boyer Park. The group meets at 8 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month at the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties in Tiffin.

6 join staff at Carey Exempted Schools

New staff

CAREY — Six new teachers have joined the Carey Blue Devils this year, each with his or her own unique story and special reasons for choosing the Carey Exempted Village School District. This year, the community welcomed Tyler Long, Megan Eisenhour, Stacy Molnar, Matthew Lawrence, Kelsey MacDonald and Tracy O’Brien.

Second USCL clothing swap begins

Clothing swap

After a successful program in February, the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s second clothing swap began Wednesday in the library basement, where area residents are invited to sort through clothes and take what they need. Organizer and marketing specialist Erin Winters said donations this time include business and business casual outfits.
