Injury accident

A Bucyrus man sustained injuries Monday morning in a one-vehicle accident on Nevada-Wynford Road just east of Bethel Road in Crawford County. According to a report from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Clyde McCleese Jr., 49, was traveling westbound at 9:48 a.m. in a Ford pick-up truck when he lost control and went off the right side of the roadway, overturning the vehicle and striking a utility pole.

Hospice planning to relocate, along with number of changes

Big changes are coming to Hospice of Wyandot County as it plans a move to a new location for the first time in more than 25 years. The nonprofit organization, supported primarily through local individual and group donations, has procured the building that currently houses New Discoveries Early Childhood Education Center, which announced its closure earlier this year after 15 years of operation.

The public is invited to view the students’ work and creativity in tracing their roots and drawing family trees, according to a press release from teacher Carol Minehart.

HARPSTER — Harpster residents are feeling a little salty lately about some of the recent activity going on at the grain elevator located within the village. During the village council’s regular meeting Tuesday night, Mayor Jim Robertson said Interstate Commodities recently was reported to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for unloading road salt from train cars onto elevator property.
