The Rams finished seventh in the Division II Mansfield district with 70 points, behind Buckeye (79.5) in sixth and ahead of the likes of Napoleon (66.5) in eighth, Bay (66.5) in ninth and Tiffin Columbian (62) in 10th. Lake Central Flight 527 crashed in a field along TH 94, south of Ohio 67 West, southwest of Marseilles on March 5, 1967. “Plane crash in county takes 38 lives,” was the headline in The Daily Chief-Union the following day.
