Area coaches come together to organize benefit for Hirschys BUCYRUS — On the court, most basketball coaches are enemies, but off the court, they can be the best of friends as evidenced by the support Dave Hirschy and his wife, Kathy, are receiving. Kathy was diagnosed with early-onset dementia more than three years ago at only 46 years old, and a number of coaches from north central Ohio have come together to put together the “August 1st” benefit to raise money for the family and for the Alzheimer’s Association.
