Balloon launch marks hospice month

Launch

The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners joined the mayors of Carey and Upper Sandusky on Monday morning to recognize National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. November is set aside annually to recognize those who work with hospice services across the U.S., Hospice of Wyandot County Director Cathy Browne said.

Candy galore!

City workers, including representatives of the Upper Sandusky police and fire departments, join with adults from Angeline Industries to stuff candy bags for today’s trick or treat.

Universal message

Ron Derry (left), a motivational, anti-bullying speaker, visited Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District third-graders earlier this week for the GOOD program. A teacher for 18 years before going completely blind, Derry has dedicated his life to helping children understand “that all problems can be overcome,” according to a brochure about the program.
