Brothers team up to extinguish fire Before the Upper Sandusky Fire Department arrived at the scene of a field fire on CH 47 early Monday afternoon, two young neighbors rushed to extinguish the blaze and keep it from spreading to a nearby garage. Fire building dedicated in Melmore MELMORE — The Eden Township Board of Trustees joined with Sycamore Fire and Rescue on Saturday to dedicate a new $260,000 fire station at the site of the former Melmore Elementary School. Eden Township board chairman Mike Homan said Verne Shellhouse, a 33-year trustee, and former township officials had the foresight to begin saving for a fire station more than 10 years ago. Read More
