The Rotary Club of Upper Sandusky invites the community to its third annual pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Dec. 9 in the cafeteria/gymnasium of John Stewart United Methodist Church and run by local Rotarians with assistance from the area Boy Scouts.

FINDLAY — The Blanchard Avenue Pentecostal Church of God is hosting its monthly Weston Price Nutritional Seminar at 7 p.m. Monday. Dr. Wayne Fiester will be lecturing on “Fact or Fiction about commonly accepted health and nutrition ideas.”

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library, 102 W. Lima St., Forest, will be showing two movies Dec. 8. The matinee movie, “The Glass Castle,” will begin at 1 p.m.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Lioness President Jacki Honaker welcomed 19 Lionesses, one honorary member and two guests to the November meeting held at the Sycamore firehouse. Tail Twister Dawn Riedel led the Pledge of Allegiance. Honaker gave the thought and prayer.

The What’s Cookin’ cookbook discussion group at the Upper Sandusky Community Library will host a cookie contest and potluck meal at 6 p.m. Dec. 18. A cookie exchange and option $5 gift exchange will be part of the evening’s activities.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library has holiday events scheduled for December. That Thursday Thing afterschool program for students in kindergarten through 12th grade will create and decorate snowflakes at 3 p.m. Dec. 7.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will have its annual soup and salad luncheon on Sunday. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. and runs until either 5 p.m. or until the library runs out of food.

FOREST — The Forest Jackson Public Library is having its annual silent basket auction. The auction runs through noon Dec. 9.

FOREST — The McVitty VFW Post 1182 and the American Legion Post 259 of Forest will hold the next monthly fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Post, located at 204 E. Lima St., Forest. Meals are all you can eat.
