Rotary holding annual pancake breakfast

The Rotary Club of Upper Sandusky invites the community to its third annual pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Dec. 9 in the cafeteria/gymnasium of John Stewart United Methodist Church and run by local Rotarians with assistance from the area Boy Scouts.

Scioto Ridge Boys to sing in Harpster

HARPSTER — The Scioto Ridge Boys will be featured in a gospel concert as part of a Blue Christmas service at 6 p.m. Sunday at Harpster United Methodist Church, 17508 Cherokee St., Harpster. The group features Mark Snider, Barry Weaver, Bob Houston and Bob Joseph.

Be careful on the roads

This week, millions of Americans will be out on the roads, headed toward big bargains, food-filled family get-togethers, and in Ohio, the big game. Thanksgiving weekend, which runs from 6 p.m. Wednesday through 5:59 a.m. Monday, is one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

Lowe-Volk closed Thursday

BUCYRUS — The Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving. The nature center will be open for visitors from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 12-4 p.m. Sunday.
