USMS prepares for third annual quarter auction

Upper Sandusky Middle School has announced the dates of two quarter auctions to raise funds for the eighth grade trip to Washington, D.C., and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Auctions are set for 4 p.m. Sunday in the dining hall and Feb. 21 in the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds.

Star Players fundraiser slated for this weekend

Bob Evans Restaurant in Upper Sandusky will sponsor a community fundraiser in support of The Star Players from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Customers who eat at the restaurant, located at 1730 E. Wyandot Ave., those dates and who also present the event flier will have 15 percent of their total sales donated to The Star Players.

1 Fund Drive kicks off

SYCAMORE — The Sycamore Village and Sycamore Township 1 Fund board has kicked off its 2015 campaign. Established in 1958, the Sycamore Village and Sycamore Township 1 Fund Drive is a time-honored investment in the citizens and community, according to a press release from the board.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Lioness Club recently gathered at the Sycamore Firehouse for its monthly board of directors’ meeting with 15 members, two honorary members and two guests present. President Karen Harber opened the meeting by introducing Lions District 13-B Gov. Carolyn Brook, who thanked the club for being in her district and all the good it does for area residents.

Nevada UMC offers evening of music

NEVADA — Nevada United Methodist Church is inviting the community to attend an evening of contemporary and classical Christian music at 7 p.m. Nov. 21. The concert will feature pianist Konstantinos “Kon” X. Griveas, who was trained in classic music at The Julliard School in New York City.
