TOLEDO — The American Red Cross has announced two upcoming blood drive opportunities in Wyandot County. Bloodmobile are scheduled for 12:30-5:30 p.m. today at the Mohawk Community Center, 295 Ohio 231, Sycamore; and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at St. Peter’s Catholic School, 310 N. Eighth St., Upper Sandusky.
FINDLAY — The Home Energy Assistance Program winter crisis program will continue through March 31 or as long as funds remain available. The winter crisis program was created to provide financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income eligible households who are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service, transfer service or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.
On the Monday before Thanksgiving, the Wyandot County General Health District will join Research!America and leading U.S. public health organizations to recognize public health professionals who go above and beyond to protect the health of all Americans.
A Christmas Extravaganza concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, 108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky. Proceeds from the event will go to the Wyandot County Salvation Army.
HARPSTER — An outreach committee at Harpster United Methodist Church prepared and distributed 60 sack lunches to area farmers in October. Each lunch consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich, chips, cookie, candy bar and water, along with a note of thanks from the church.
