FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will host a movie matinee Aug. 21. “The Woman in Gold” will begin at 1 p.m.

HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties Inc. will host a Stewards of Children presentation from 6-8:15 p.m. Tuesday in Wyandot County and at the same time Sept. 22 in Crawford County. Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children is a prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Parents and families who have had a child die are invited to attend the 12th annual memorial balloon release and picnic from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Stepping Stones Park in Upper Sandusky.

Hannah’s House will host an adult spelling bee fundraiser at 7 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Knights of Columbus hall in Upper Sandusky.

BUCYRUS — The Hoffman Quilt Challenge, a traveling collection of quilts, clothing and dolls, will have an exhibit at the Bucyrus Public Library today through Aug. 20. Each annual challenge features a specific fabric that contestants draw on for inspiration and incorporate into their entries. Brochures will be available at the library. Amy E. Fox and Levi J. Brown, both of Forest, exchanged wedding vows July 25, 2015 at Forest Park United Methodist Church. Tim Benjamin and Phil Brenneman, the grandfather of the groom, officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.

BUCYRUS — The Train Buffs of Crawford County will operate a miniature train again for children during the Bratwurst Festival, which is Thursday through Saturday in Bucyrus. Train rides will be offered from 6 p.m. until dark Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. until dark Saturday.

CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library has announced a slate of events for the month of August. A movie will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The American Red Cross recently hosted a blood drive at the Moose Lodge in Upper Sandusky. The total units for the blood drive was 35 out of a goal of 41.
