The Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual steak fry for members and guests Wednesday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Two hundred members and guests attended the event that included music by Rusty Strings, of Delaware, and a meal catered by A & A Grocery.
The Wyandot County Safety Council’s next meeting will be a community forum on heroin in the local community.

Wyandot Lanes in Upper Sandusky soon will have a new look as synthetic lanes will be the new attraction. Brandt Walton, owner of Wyandot Lanes, said the building has been in Upper Sandusky since the mid-1950s and this is his 11th year there.
SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Local Schools Board of Education has moved the start time of its next meeting. The meeting will begin at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Mohawk Community Center.
There will be a special meeting of the Upper Sandusky safety committee at 5 p.m. Monday to address the hiring of a new police officer. The meeting will take place in council chambers.
The Andersons Inc. plant nutrient facility officially is open at 9841 CH 49, Upper Sandusky, after an open house and a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday. The Andersons celebrated the new facility after consolidating work sites in Carey and Sycamore.
Guardian’s Custom Glass Solutions Upper Sandusky facility will host an event looking to directly hire production and maintenance technicians from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, 108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky.
