American Plastics investing in Seneca County facility

TIFFIN — American Plastics, a premier plastic injection molding company located just south of Tiffin, Ohio, has announced that it will be investing a total of $3.5 million and hiring more than 130 workers by the end of 2019. The new investment and job creation is due to both the acquisition of the former Katy Industries facility by High View Capital in 2018 and the additional business to produce plastic shelving and totes under the Craftsman brand label for Lowe’s.

First Federal Bank, First Insurance invests in employee-picked causes

DEFIANCE — With the distinct message of “It Starts Here.” First Federal Bank and First Insurance Group are putting the power of philanthropy into the hands of their employees. The bank and insurance agency will invest $10,000 into non-profit organizations that their employees are most passionate about as part of their annual Pay it Forward celebration.

First Citizens opens ATM at Ace Hardware

New ATM

CAREY — The First Citizens National Bank recently announced the installation of an ATM inside the Carey Ace Hardware store, 1201 E. Findlay St., Carey. The new ATM is conveniently located directly inside the store and will be accessible during store hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, and will offer cash withdrawals and balance inquires.

Women’s health doctor added to staff at hospital

Carmen Doty-Armstrong, D.O., has joined Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s women’s health team to provide gynecological surgical care and office hours in Upper Sandusky. Doty-Armstrong, an obstetrician and gynecologist, has practiced with Findlay Women’s Care since 2013 and has worked in the area for almost 20 years.

Riddlehaven to have open house

Riddlehaven Senior Apartments is holding an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Improvements have been made to the apartment building and in order to increase community involvement, the community is invited to come take a tour of the building.

North Central Electric named a 5-star co-op

ATTICA — North Central Electric Cooperative announced recently it has been named a 5-Star Co-op by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The five-star designation recognizes NCE’s high level of participation in Co-ops Vote, a national get-out-the-vote campaign. The non-partisan campaign seeks to engage voters and boost voter turnout in areas served by electric co-ops all across the country.
