Contestants participate in the competition at “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” a musical production being performed this weekend at Riverdale High School. MARION — Under the direction of Mark Holbrook the Emmy-award winning classic drama “Twelve Angry Jurors” will come to life April 4-6 in the May Pavilion at the Marion Palace Theatre. Cast as jurors in the production are Candy Boyd, Mike Cochran, Doug Ford, Erica Hunt, Dean Jacob, Leah Menzie, Kaden Schenk, Will Smith, Bob Sullivan-Neer, Brody Thomas, Cameron Williams and Janet Wittenmyer.

The Ritz Players will hold open auditions for “Next to Normal” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday at The National Theatre at The Ritz, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin. Dad’s an architect; mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk High School will present “The Music Man” at 7 p.m. March 29 and 30 and 2 p.m. March 31 at the Mohawk Performing Arts Center. The year is 1912. Traveling salesman and con man Harold Hill steps off the train into the town of River City, Iowa, well known for its stubbornness.

MARION — The Ohio State University at Marion Office of Student Life has announced dates for the upcoming student theatrical production, ”Arsenic and Old Lace,” are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 1 in Morrill Hall Auditorium. Written by Joseph Kesselring, ”Arsenic & Old Lace” is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service Inc., New York, and directed locally by Ohio State Marion alumna and Marion community theater standout Hannah Fuller.

TIFFIN — The Ritz Theatre is presenting its 21st annual summer theater camp this summer. To accommodate previous demand, The Ritz is offering two separate weeklong camps.

MARION — The Palace Academy of the Arts, located at the historic Marion Palace Theatre, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion, is a performing arts program of the Marion Palace Theatre. Program Director Kristi Wink announced the lineup of group classes and private one-on-one sessions that begin Feb. 25 through April 8.

TIFFIN — A piano recital by Heidelberg University’s Dr. Margarita Denenburg on Saturday will combine a joyous Mozart sonata, a nostalgic Chopin nocturne and a contemporary nod to Cleveland by Ohio composer Dr. Gerald Evans.

TIFFIN — The Ritz Players will present “12 Angry Jurors” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15, 16 and 23 and 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin. A 19-year-old boy has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father.
