FINDLAY — The Marathon Center for the Performing Arts will be holding auditions for Youtheatre’s production of “Honk! Jr.” next month. Auditions are open to students in first through fifth grades including an on-stage cast of no more than 50 students in addition to positions on the production’s technical crew.

The White Shutter Winery donated $1,008 to the Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky at the Christmas Cabaret on Saturday. The funds were raised from a murder mystery dinner and another dinner is planned in the future.

BUCYRUS — Wynford High School will present John Jakes’ adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger.

MARION — Marion Palace Theatre Executive Director Bev Ford is introducing to the community a new arts program for all ages. Located at the historic Marion Palace Theatre, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion, Palace Academy of the Arts classes will kick off in January. Registration is now open.

TIFFIN — Heidelberg University’s School of Music and Theatre is getting ready to host its 27th annual TubaChristmas on Dec. 16. Local and area tuba and euphonium players of all ages are invited to come together on that day to perform a program of traditional Christmas carols especially arranged by American composer Alec Wilder.

The Upper Sandusky High School drama department presents “Once Upon a High School” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 and are general admission seating. Doors open a half hour before curtain.

MARION — Taking center stage at the historic Marion Palace Theatre is the annual community production of “Christmas at the Palace” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Dec. 2. Written and directed by Clare Cooke, “Christmas at the Palace 2018: The Gift of Family” features the talent of hundreds of Marion-made individuals who share the warmth and wonder of the holidays in song and dance, instrumental solos and group numbers, heart-felt vignettes, silly sketches and more.

TIFFIN — Friday Night at the Ritz is 7:30 p.m. Friday at The National Theatre at The Ritz, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin. The Friday Night Live series features live music and entertainment in a casual, intimate setting.

MARION — Palace Theatre Executive Director Bev Ford has announced auditions will be held for the junior stage production of “The Tale of Snow White” on Dec. 18 and 19. Director Emily Yaksic is seeking young performers ages 7-14 to play a variety of leading and supporting characters in Barbara Lennon’s fresh and funny stage adaptation of the classic fairy-tale “Snow White.”

The Upper Sandusky High School drama department will present “Once Upon A High School.” Favorite fairy-tale characters have their world turned upside down as they get a fresh taste of reality.
