Jayma Voorheis spent countless hours at the Star Theatre before heading to the New York Film Academy after she graduated from Delaware Hayes High School in 2013. Now she is excited to return to the Star to choreograph “The Addams Family.”

Tickets are now available for The Star Theatre’s production of “The Addams Family”, a dark and twisted musical about the trials of coming of age and falling in love while surrounded by all your zany relatives — living and dead. Directed by Keitha Voorheis, the show features Star veteran Ron Boose as Gomez and Lindsey North as Morticia.

BUCYRUS — Ethan Bortnick will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Bucyrus Elementary School auditorium, 245 Woodlawn Ave., Bucyrus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Recognized by the Guinness World Records as “the world’s youngest solo musician to headline his own concert tour,” Ethan Bortnick has been performing around the world, raising over $50 million for charities across the globe.

CAREY — Area singers are invited to join the Carey Ecumenical Christmas Choir as preparations begin for this year’s concert to be held at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, 315 Clay St., Carey. This year marks the choir’s 47th year of presenting this musical program at this historic shrine and promises to be a highlight of the Christmas season.

TIFFIN — “Into the Woods,” the first production of the Heidelberg University Community Music School’s new junior school and high school musical theater program, is coming to the Gundlach Theatre Stage on Saturday and Sunday.

TIFFIN — The Ritz Players will present “Arsenic and Old Lace” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 13 and 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin.

CLYDE — Roy Rivers will perform as John Denver at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Clyde High School auditorium at 1015 Race St., Clyde. He will perform some of Denver’s greatest hits such as “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Rocky Mountain High,” “Sunshine on My Shoulders,” “Annie’s Song,” “Sweet Surrender” and “Thank God I’m a Country Boy.”

BUCYRUS — The Kennedy Quartet jazz band will play at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 120 S. Lane St., Bucyrus. In addition to Christian music, the band will play a variety of old standard music from the ’30s, ’40s and ’60s.

BUCYRUS — Backtrack will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Bucyrus Elementary School auditorium, 245 Woodlawn Ave., Bucyrus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Formed in 2012, Backtrack is an award-winning five person a cappella group based in New York City that explores the power of the human voice through unique vocal arrangements, tight harmonies and world-class beatboxing.
