TIFFIN — The Charlie Daniels and will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 2 at the Ritz theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin. From his Dove Award winning gospel albums to his genre-defining Southern rock anthems and his CMA Award-winning country hits, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Gospel Ensemble, with special guests the Philippian Missionary Baptist Church Choir of Lima and the Toledo Youth Choir, will perform its annual spring concert in at 4 p.m. April 3 in the McIntosh Center Ballroom.

Upper Sandusky High School is set to perform the musical “Hairspray!” at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The show is under the direction of Julia Massara and Ron Boose, along with music director Reid Barth, choreographer Kelli Stephens and student assistants Kaytlyn Graver as student director and Hope Voorhees as stage manager.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk High School will showcase the musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Performing Arts Center. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred — including power, ambition and greed — it is a parody of a young businessman and his triumph amid the big business world.

Auditions for the Star Players’ production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Ave. Those who want to audition will be taught a selection from the show at auditions and do not need to have a song prepared.

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present Peter Gros of “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” for shows at 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 12. On “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” on Animal Planet, Gros provides the link between the original series, for which he served as co-host, and the new specials.

FINDLAY — The Arts Partnership will present a performance of “The Monster Who ate My Peas,” a family musical at 3 p.m. March 13 at Winebrenner Auditorium located at 950 N. Main St. in Findlay. Based on the multi-award winning book written by Danny Schnitzlein and illustrated by Matthew Faulkner, “The Monster Who Ate My Peas” tells the story of a young boy who doesn’t want to eat his peas.
