ONU Symphony to open new season with concert ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents the ONU Symphony’s season-opening concert, “Destiny and Dvorˇák,” in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts at 5 p.m. Oct. 25. Under the direction of ONU music director Travis Jürgens, the program opens with Verdi’s “Overture to La Forza del Destino (The Force of Destiny),” followed by George Hüe’s “Fantasie for Flute and Orchestra,” which will be performed by Nicole Wells, a senior music performance major from Germantown, who won the department’s concerto competition.
