Cast and crew have been readying for the Star Players Inc. annual summer musical production of “Hello Dolly!” since May and show week finally has arrived. Curtains open for this classic musical production at 7:30 p.m. Friday with additional shows at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 7 and 8 and 2 p.m. Aug. 2 and 9.

Movies return to MPT big screen

MARION — Marion Palace Theatre management recently announced the return of movies to the big screen. The family action adventure film “Max” will be the first movie to use digital cinema projection at the theatre and will be shown on July 24-26.
