Drainage ditches are vital to dealing with rainfall in Wyandot County, according to the Wyandot Soil and Water Conservation District, which currently inspects and maintains 111 ditch and tile projects to help drain house lots and farm ground and prevent erosion during rain events. SWCD reports annual Wyandot Co. rainfall The Wyandot Soil and Water Conservation District has collected rainfall information during the growing season every year since 1978, when Heidelberg University requested participation in its rainfall monitoring network. This year from April through October, 23 volunteers in different areas of the county reported rainfall to the Wyandot SWCD. Read More
