Ohio Democrats bus visits Upper

Upper Sandusky was visited by the Ohio Democratic Party’s #PeopleFirst bus Thursday afternoon at Harrison Smith Park in support of local Democratic candidates on the ballot in November. The bus is crisscrossing Ohio until Election Day, visiting county fairs, festivals, rallies, college campuses, cities and villages.

Volunteers untangled the Christmas lights that will wrap around the large evergreen trees in front of the Wyandot County Courthouse Thursday afternoon. Volunteers tested the lights, replacing broken, burned out or flickering bulbs as well as tightening all bulbs.

Library board votes to give director raise

The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board performed its annual performance review of library director Kathleen Whitt during its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday afternoon. The board stated it appreciated everything Whitt has done for the library and that despite some challenges that have taken place in the past year, she has handled them well.

Tickets available now for Star Theatre’s ‘The Addams Family’

Tickets are now available for The Star Theatre’s production of “The Addams Family”, a dark and twisted musical about the trials of coming of age and falling in love while surrounded by all your zany relatives — living and dead. Directed by Keitha Voorheis, the show features Star veteran Ron Boose as Gomez and Lindsey North as Morticia.
