Custom Model T debuts at car show

Ready to debut

An Upper Sandusky man will be bringing a one-of-a-kind creation to the Autumn Cruise car show Saturday in downtown Upper Sandusky. Bob Smith, 66, a retired fabricator, bought the body of a 1926 Ford Model T last July and turned it into a custom street rod over the course of nine months.

Angeline votes to commit $10K toward county transportation

The Wyandot County Board of Developmental Disabilities voted to commit $10,000 towards the Wyandot County Coordinated Transportation Grant during its monthly meeting on Thursday. Angeline Superintendent Todd Dilley, who also is a chairperson for the WCCT Coalition spoke about the history of the coalition and the opportunity to bring public transportation to Wyandot County via a federal grant if there is a $150,000 match in local funds.

Upper game to start at 8

Because of the possibility of late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms, Upper Sandusky’s home football game against Buckeye Central has been moved back to an 8 p.m. start today. The homecoming ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. Ticket gates will open at 6:30 p.m.

The employees of the Wyandot County Courthouse in Upper Sandusky received fire extinguisher training on Wednesday from Joel Hale of American Fire and Safety. Each employee had an opportunity to use a fire extinguisher on a test fire.

Wynford BOE gets update on building

BUCYRUS — The Wynford Board of Education received a program of requirements presentation from Brent Buehrer of Buehrer Group Architecture and Engineering Wednesday about its new school building. Buehrer’s firm is doing the design work for the new school building.
