Judgement day Wyandot County 4-H members were judged for the 2018 animal and garden projects Saturday inside the Arena at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Clady memorial bench dedicated SYCAMORE — A memorial bench was dedicated in a ceremony for former Sycamore Police officer William “Bill” Clady on Monday in downtown Sycamore. Clady served the village of Sycamore from 1979 until his retirement in 2003. He died Feb. 1, 2017, at age 73. Read More

Mohawk BOE approves Vehre as interim superintendent in January SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Local Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Mohawk High School Principal Mark Vehre as interim Superintendent during it’s meeting on Monday. Nevada looks at water options NEVADA — The village of Nevada is considering all of its options when it comes to maintaining water service to the village despite an aging system. Officials said at Monday night’s council meeting they have had discussions with the city of Bucyrus to see how much it would cost to have water piped to the village, but even if that were to be the best option, Nevada still would need to replace its 83-year-old water tower. Eden Twp holds monument dedication NEVADA — A dedication ceremony was held Saturday morning at the Eden Township House in rural Nevada for the Pieces of History Monument, which was completed within the last year. It was called Pieces of History because the final monument included a brass bell from Eden Chapel Church, a stone from the one-room Maple Grove School, a 1931 board of education plaque with a map of all the one-room Eden Township schools and stones from the exterior of Eden School.
