WCHD releases June vital statistics report Jane M. Shrider, registrar of vital statistics at the Wyandot County Health Department, reports there were nine births and 14 deaths in the county during June. Births include seven females and two males; deaths include four females and 10 males. Forty-five certified birth and 38 certified death certificates were issued. USPD dedicates bench to K-9 Hunter Upper Sandusky residents, city officials and area law enforcement held a dedication ceremony for K-9 Hunter on Tuesday inside the Upper Sandusky Fire Station. K-9 Hunter served the Upper Sandusky Police Department from 2010 until retiring in 2017 due to health complications. Hunter died on April 24. Read More
USDA resumes continuous CRP enrollment As part of a 33-year effort to protect sensitive lands and improve water quality and wildlife habitat on private lands, the USDA will resume accepting applications for the voluntary Conservation Reserve Program. Riverdale moves forward with plans for full-time resource officer MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale students will have a familiar face as their full time school resource officer starting this year. Superintendent Jeff Young informed the board at its regular meeting on Monday that Hancock County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Sheets, who has spent several years with Riverdale as a part-time SRO, will take over full-time duties this year.
