Kirby Festival set for this weekend

KIRBY — The annual Transfiguration of the Lord St. Mary’s/Kirby Festival will take place from 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday and 2-10 p.m. Sunday in Kirby. Saturday’s theme is “Adult Night Out.” The Kirby off-road 5K will begin at 9 a.m., taking runners into the country through trails in the woods of a parishioner and back, organizer Curt Frey said. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Registration forms are available on Facebook and anyone with questions is asked to call 419-957-5702.

Chamber hosting Photoshop workshop

The Wyandot Chamber of Commerce is hosting a summer Photoshop workshop in partnership with Marion Technical College. The Photoshop editing classes are 5:30-8 p.m. July 31, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. The classes cost $95 for chamber members and $120 for non-chamber members. New coordinator named for exchange program

KENTON — Rick Hudgel has been appointed international exchange coordinator with EF High School Exchange Year, a leader in high school exchange. He is joining longtime IECs George and Barb Wyndham, of Kenton, in working with international high school students with host families living in Hardin and Wyandot counties.
