Tessa Elliott of the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio spoke with members of the Wyandot County Health Alliance at the new EMS building Thursday. Elliott discussed the recently completed community health assessment of both adults and youth in Wyandot County, trends and notable statistics in the area as well as how to use the information to help the county.

Library to put levy on ballot

On Thursday, the Upper Sandusky Community Library Board of Trustees unanimously adopted a resolution asking the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District to place a five year, 1.4 mill renewal tax levy on the ballot on Nov. 6.

Sycamore considers how to upgrade Veterans Park

The Sycamore Parks Committee discussed upgrades to Veterans Memorial Park with some members of the Sycamore Businessmen’s Association Thursday afternoon in a meeting. Darren Frank, representing the First National Bank of Sycamore, said she had been working with Sycamore councilwoman Darcy Zimmerman on the free swim and pizza days for the community pool.

Infirmary Cemetery halfway to goal

The Wyandot County Infirmary Cemetery Memorial Committee made some important decisions Wednesday during its meeting at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Committee member Mary Reinhart added up donations to the memorial thus far and revealed they were over the halfway mark of the group’s fundraising goal of between $8,000 and $9,000.
