The Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center held a special Mother’s Day dinner Monday for female residents. Over 50 moms and daughters came out for the event and they were allowed to keep the flower centerpieces.

Three seeking nomination for 87th District

While most offices are unopposed for primary season, three Republicans are vying for the 87th District Representative position in advance of Tuesday’s election. Riordan McClain is the incumbent. McClain was unanimously selected in January by a House panel to fill the vacancy left by Wesley Goodman, who resigned last November following a scandal.

Criminal, traffic cases tried in court

Dustin W. Lanagan, Carey, charged by the Carey police with two counts of petty theft, resisting arrest and obstruction of official business, pretrial held, continued to May 21. Matthew S. Levering, Upper Sandusky, charged by the state with four counts of violating a protective order, final pretrial held, continued to May 21.
