COLUMBUS — A 1973 Upper Sandusky High School graduate has been named the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s next executive director. The OHSAA Board of Directors selected assistant commissioner Jerry Snodgrass to replace Dan Ross, who will be stepping down in September after 14 years.

Riverdale Quiz Bowl team competes in nationals in Chicago

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Quiz Bowl team has earned many titles and honors in recent years. This season it has won both the Hardin and Hancock county tournaments, competed in the WNWO Academic Challenge and the WBGU tournament. The team has also been qualified to compete in national quiz bowl competitions the last five years, but members’ school calendars included other activities that kept them from taking part in the contests.

Salvation Army providing summer camp at discount

Area children will have an opportunity for a significantly discounted summer camp courtesy of the Salvation Army. Camp Swoneky (Southwest Ohio Northeast Kentucky) is a Christian camp that is located in Oregonia, about 70 miles southwest of Columbus. The Salvation Army handles the cost of transportation as well as almost all other fees.
