The Wyandot County Veterans Service Commission finalized the date of an open house for its office’s new location during its regular meeting Wednesday. The open house will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. May 25 at 250 Highland Parkway, north of the Wyandot County Fairgrounds.

FOREST — Community First Bank N.A. has announced the promotion of assistant cashier Nichole Burton to assistant vice president/assistant cashier. In her 16 years with CFB, Burton has worked in many areas of the bank, moving from part- to full-time teller, to head teller and then to assistant cashier, a position to which she was promoted in 2011.

TIFFIN — Stover Veterinary Services is expanding its practice with a new full-service mobile veterinary clinic. The clinic will hold regular office hours in Tiffin and at two other locations in Seneca County, in addition to house calls.

MARION — OhioHealth is donating $100,000 to support the training of future health care workers at Marion Technical College in a new, state-of-the-art anatomy and physiology lab.

State Rep. Riordan McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) held his second round of office hours Tuesday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. McClain represents the 87th District, which comprises all of Wyandot, Crawford and Morrow counties as well as parts of Marion and Seneca counties.

An Upper Sandusky girl won a new bike this past weekend at the Wyandot County Health Alliance’s Bike Safety Rodeo, which was held at Upper Sandusky High School. Savana Bradner, who’s 15-year-old hand-me-down bicycle had been declared unsafe at the rodeo, was the winner of a purple Liv Adore 20 girls coaster brake bike courtesy of Kimmel Corporation and Bud’s Bicycle Shop.

The USDA’s Farm Service Agency encourages dairy producers to consider enrolling in the new and improved Margin Protection Program for Dairy (MPP-Dairy), which will provide better protections for dairy producers from shifting milk and feed prices.

FOSTORIA — AgCredit, one of northern Ohio’s largest lenders for farmers, rural homeowners and agribusiness, has announced the formation of the AgCredit Mission Fund. The Mission Fund will fund AgCredit’s Joe Leiser college scholarship program along with grants to organizations who meet the objective and focus of the fund.

MARYSVILLE — The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association recently awarded 16 Best of the Buckeye scholarships at the Ohio Beef Expo, including one to Alexis Watkins, of Carey. The Best of the Buckeye program is coordinated by OCA and held in conjunction with the Ohio Beef Expo and Ohio State Fair.
