One School One Book at Union

Upper Sandusky Union School students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade were gifted the book “The World According to Humphrey” on Monday as part of the One School One Book program. The students are asked to either read one chapter each day, or for those in the first couple grades, have someone read a chapter to them.

Career expo set for Wednesday at Masters’ Building

The 2018 Wyandot County Career Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday inside the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. The 18th annual event features 48 employers and educational institutions registered to attend and is hosted by the Wyandot County Department of Job and Family Services (WCDJFS).

Riverdale addresses personnel issues

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Board of Education took care of numerous personnel issues and several other items during its regular meeting on Monday night. The board approved three-year administrative contracts for Dr. Julie Greer, elementary principal; Susan Cole, school nurse; Tina Weber, cafeteria supervisor; and Duane Brodman, maintenance supervisor.

It’s a boy: Upper Sandusky couple has unique baby gender reveal event

It’s a boy!

An Upper Sandusky couple revealed the gender of their first child in a unique way Saturday afternoon. Keith and Elizabeth Vehrs have been married for nearly three years, and found out they were having a boy when local crop dusting pilot Matthew Arnold of Tactical Agriculture LLC (TACAG) dropped a spray of blue mist from his plane during their gender reveal party.

Motocycles lead officers on high speed chase

A Toledo man was arrested following a high speed chase Sunday morning. A report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office states Brandon L. Dusseau, Toledo, and a second companion also on a motorcycle, were clocked by a lieutenant from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 90 mph while traveling north bound on U.S. 23 approaching CH 42.
