Marseilles hosting recycling drive

MARSEILLES — A recycling drive is scheduled from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Marseilles Park. Aluminum cans, steel cans, clear and colored glass, newspapers, magazines, plastic food containers, cardboard and chipboard will be accepted.

Fairhaven names new assisted living director, celebrates National Assisted Living Week

Beth Montgomery has been named the new assisted living director at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky. Montgomery recently completed the Certified Executive for Assisted Living (CEAL) and has passed the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators Examination to earn the CEAL designation.

Blanchard Valley Hospital, Bluffton Hospital Echo Laboratories Receive Reaccreditation

The Echocardiography Laboratories at Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) and Bluffton Hospital have been reaccredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The BVH and Bluffton echo labs perform echocardiograms, a non-invasive test used to assess different areas of the heart and can detect heart disease or signs of serious conditions.

A deputy transported Kristina Halm from the Crawford County Jail to the Wyandot County Jail the evening of Aug. 6. Michael D. Krieger, Centerville, was picked up the morning of Aug. 7 from the Shelby County Jail on a bench warrant out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court for failure to comply with a court order.
