The program of Recognizing Enriching All Children, commonly known as REACH, had its first session Saturday with approximately 270 children registered to attend the program’s fifth year. REACH is a program that takes place over three consecutive weekends and allows children in kindergarten through fifth grades an opportunity to take two classes each week to explore possible interests.

FOREST — The Hueston Cemetery, just west of Forest, is a quiet, attractive final resting place for many. But in recent years, the rules and regulations adopted by the Jackson Township trustees many decades ago are being ignored, resulting in safety concerns and a financial hardship to the community, said Sexton Jerry Moore.

A & A Grocery co-owner Gary Ault is retiring after more than 33 years. Ault will celebrate his 67th birthday in April and after years of 65-80 hour work weeks, he is looking forward to spending more time with his family and traveling.
