From Little Rams to Division I

Sisters Corrie and Kelsi Knapp started cheerleading with Upper Sandusky’s Little Rams competition squad at an early age and both are now cheering at the Division I level at their respective colleges. Corrie, 18, is a freshman at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she is a cheerleading squad leader and flyer on the pyramid routines.

Juvenile leads Wyandot Co. sheriff deputies on foot chase

WHARTON — County law enforcement officers chased a juvenile male suspected of breaking and entering multiple vehicles in Wharton on Thursday. Two Wyandot County Sheriff’s deputies and a lieutenant, the county dog warden and multiple local residents searched the area for multiple hours for the juvenile, according to a sheriff’s office report.

Crew to continue sewer line hook-ups

One crew will be in Upper Sandusky again next week, hooking up residential sewer lines in the 100 block of North Seventh Street between Wyandot Avenue and Walker Street. Expect road closures in the block during construction hours.

Injury crash

Multiple agencies responded to an injury crash involving two vehicles this morning at the intersection of Ohio 199 and CH 47 in rural Upper Sandusky. A Wyandot County man was driving on CH 47 when he pulled out in front of a Marysville man driving a red Jeep north on Ohio 199 before the Wyandot County man’s vehicle was struck on the passenger-side door of his white Pontiac, according to Wyandot County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Robison.
