Upper city council approves sewer rate increase, fire pact Upper Sandusky’s monthly sewer rates will increase by $1, effective May 1. City Council on Monday unanimously voted to increase the rates by $1 each year through 2019. The minimum bill also will increase by $2 a month each year. Carey appoints school resource officer CAREY — The Carey police will assign an officer to be at the Carey School during school hours, Mayor Armand Getz announced during a council meeting Monday. Officer Brian Lomeli will serve as Carey’s school resource officer, Getz said. He is expected to start March 20.
