MARSEILLES — Marseilles Village Council held the first reading of a proposed lawn maintenance ordinance at a regularly scheduled council meeting Nov. 7. The purpose of the legislation as listed in the ordinance is, “Establishing the regulation and enforcement of exterior maintenance requirements, including the abatement of noxious weeds, tall grass, trash, rubbish and dilapidated structures, providing a penalty.”
