Riverdale school board OKs teacher contracts

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Board of Education approved a series of teacher contracts at its regular meeting Monday evening. Approved for one-year contracts for the 2016-17 school year were Madeline Bell, Corinne Boes, Jenaya Claybaugh, Adrian Cooper, Brett Farmer, Mark Frey, Kara Mowery, Emily Reynolds, Brooke Rosendale, Lindsey Shumaker, Brett Smalley, Cassandra Suever, Clay Thomson, Jessica Woodruff and Kalynn Yeater.

Plea hearing set for man in slayings of his mom, girlfriend

Sycamore officials approve appropriations for 2016

SYCAMORE — Sycamore Village Council approved by emergency appropriations for the rest of 2016, an income tax revenue transfer and an ordinance setting salaries for employees during a regular meeting Tuesday. With no discussion, council unanimously approved those three items, as well as an ordinance to establish a community reinvestment area in the village.
