Carey HS yearbooks to be digitized

CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library is working on a project to digitize school yearbooks starting from the year 1924 to the present. The OCI Records Conversion Yearbook Project is a free digitization program that has enabled libraries to preserve local academic history by digitizing collections of high school annuals at no cost.

Walk to Recovery set

TIFFIN — The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties will host a Walk to Recovery from 10-11 a.m. Oct. 3 at Tiffin’s Hedges-Boyer Park.

Joshua G. Bonilla, Dexter, Michigan, was cited the afternoon of Aug. 7 for driving with an unsecured load after a report a food trailer that was not attached to a vehicle started rolling in the median on U.S. 23 near the northbound rest area and was on fire. The Carey Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.

Courthouse tower to be exposed again

Midstate Contractors continues work on the Wyandot County Courthouse, and the tower will gradually be exposed as final paint is applied over the next week, renovation project supervisor Steve Gilmore said during an update meeting Wednesday.

‘Aladdin Jr.’ scheduled in Marion

MARION — Audience members will experience a show filled with magic, mayhem and flying carpet rides when the Palace Cultural Arts Association present the junior production of “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” for three performances at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10 and 2 p.m. Oct. 11 on the Palace Theatre main stage.
