Man treks across US

Jared Reichbaum is on a mission. He walked into Upper Sandusky Thursday evening, camped at Lincoln Hills Golf Course and spent Friday taking a break from his journey to play a few rounds of golf, after seven days of walking about 120 miles.

Woman, injured in crash

A Marion woman accused of driving while intoxicated was injured after striking a parked vehicle, a telephone pole and concrete steps during a crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Ohio 199 and CH 42 in Salem Township.

Officers issue parking tickets

Officers issued parking tickets for parking where signs prohibit the morning of April 15 in the 100 block of West Wyandot Avenue. Officers assisted a woman locked out of her residence the morning of April 15 in the 500 block of Betty Lou Street.

Ohio Veterans HOF accepts nominations

COLUMBUS — The deadline to nominate veterans for the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame is June 30, according to a press release from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services. The Ohio Veterans HOF was established in 1992 to recognize the achievements of veterans in community service after their military service ended.

Wyandot County EMA to update natural hazards mitigation plan

More than 15 people attended a Wyandot County Emergency Management Agency planning meeting Tuesday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library to begin updating a natural hazards mitigation plan. Representatives were from local law enforcement, fire departments, townships, municipalities and businesses based in Wyandot County.
