The Wyandot County 4-H program is asking those taking poultry projects to the Wyandot County Fair to complete their projects, as the deadline to switch projects has passed, after the Ohio Department of Agriculture banned all live bird exhibitions in the state earlier this week.

SYCAMORE — A Sycamore man was transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Ohio 231 and Ohio 103.
The Wyandot County Safe Community Coalition on Thursday reported there was one fatal traffic accident on Wyandot County roadways in May. It was the third fatal traffic accident recorded in Wyandot County in 2015.
COLUMBUS — The deadline to nominate veterans for the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame is June 30, according to a press release from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services. The Ohio Veterans HOF was established in 1992 to recognize the achievements of veterans in community service after their military service ended.
More than 15 people attended a Wyandot County Emergency Management Agency planning meeting Tuesday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library to begin updating a natural hazards mitigation plan. Representatives were from local law enforcement, fire departments, townships, municipalities and businesses based in Wyandot County.
