Rams win big in tri-meet with Rockets, Bucks

Upper Sandusky’s boys and girls were winners in a home tri-match Tuesday evening. The Rams girls dominated with 114 points, well ahead of Buckeye Central (41) and Ridgedale (19), and the Rams boys scored 91.5 points, with the Bucks edging the Rockets, 37-34.5.

Farmer drives in Hill for winning run

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Taylor Farmer drove in Aricka Hill for the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Riverdale won its Blanchard Valley Conference softball opener, 4-3, on Tuesday. Hill led off the inning with a single up the middle, and Brooke Kuenzli bunted her over to second.

Warriors roll to 19-7 win

BUCYRUS — Mohawk scored four or more runs in each of the first four innings to beat Wynford, 19-7, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Tuesday. The Warriors (2-2, 2-1 N10) led 15-1 after the top of the third inning.

Blue Devils rout Mohawks

CAREY — Carey scored multiple runs in each of the first three innings to rout Fostoria St. Wendelin, 16-3, in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. After the Mohawks (0-1) scored once in the top of the first, the Blue Devils (2-3) scored four times in the bottom of the first, seven times in the second and five times in the third.

Softball: Mohawks win big

CAREY — Fostoria St. Wendelin scored six runs in the sixth inning of a 12-2 win at Carey on Tuesday in a non-league softball game. The Mohawks took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and padded it to 6-0 in the top of the second.

Blue Devils win tri-meet

BUCYRUS — Carey’s girls topped Bucyrus, 79-57, while Mohawk was third with 38 points in a track and field tri-meet Tuesday at Bucyrus. Carey also was the boys winner with 76.5 points.

Falcons win at Elmwood

BLOOMDALE — Riverdale’s boys edged Elmwood, 83-80, and the Falcons girls were 113.5-53.5 winners in a track and field meet Tuesday at Elmwood. Bowling Green Christian Academy scored eight points in the boys competition.

Carey girls win Blue Devil Relays

CAREY — The Carey girls track and field team used a total team effort to repeat as champions of their home meet on a cold, windy early-April afternoon. The fact that it was the last Carey Blue Devil Relays at Wentling Field in Memorial Park made the victory sweeter.
