Softball: CC runs rules Mohawk

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford softball pulled away from Mohawk in the back half of an 11-1 win in six innings on Wednesday to advance to 5-0 (1-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference). Returning N10 ERA leader Sydney Studer allowed one run on three hits with eight strikeouts in six innings.

Qyenton Stone leads Wynford

MORRAL — Qyenton Stone threw a four-hit shutout and provided plenty of run support for himself. He had four hits, including a home run, and scored three runs to lead the Royals to an 11-0 victory Wednesday at Ridgedale. On the mound, Stone (1-0) walked one and struck out seven.

Delphos Jefferson tops Riverdale

DELPHOS — Riverdale briefly held a lead but Delphos Jefferson started even stronger in its half of the first inning in a 7-2 non-conference baseball victory Tuesday. The Falcons (1-1) scored once in the top of the first, but gave up four runs to the Wildcats in the bottom of the inning.

Rams win JV games

Upper Sandusky’s junior varsity softball team defeated Bucyrus, 19-6, on Wednesday. Taylor Frey had a pair of singles, and Jordan Franz scored three runs.

Lakota tops Mohawk

SYCAMORE — Lakota took an early lead and held it throughout an 8-4 victory over Mohawk in a non-league softball game Tuesday. The Raiders led 3-0 after the Warriors committed three errors in the first inning, and they expanded their lead to 4-0 on a second-inning home run.
